• Compositional software utlized includes MaxMSP, Supercollider, Kyma, Live, OpenMusic, Isadora, OpenMusic, and HMSL

 

• Senior research fellow in composition at the Rockefeller Study Center in Bellagio, Italy and at the Liguria Study Center in Bogliasco, Italy and was a featured composer at the Eastman School of Music 25th Anniversary of the Eastman Computer Music Center

 

Conducting and Performance

• Co-artistic Director and Conductor of Thamyris New Music Ensemble in Atlanta for 18 years presenting over 200 works of contemporary music.  Thamyris received the ASCAP/Chamber Music America Award for Most Adventurous Programming in four different years.  Guest soloists included Steve Mackey, Frederic Rzewski, Ursula Oppens, Margaret Leng Tan, Pauline Oliveros, and Philippe Leroux.

 

• Guest conducted the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players in 1998 with David Tanenbaum, guitar soloist and conductor of the Atlanta opera company, Opera Omnia from 1983-1988  

 

• Founder and Director of the Emory Javanese Gamelan Ensemble  from 1996-2006. Performances with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and at the Society of Ethnomusicology International Conference; produced eight Javanese shadow plays (wayang kulit)

 

• Professional trumpet player from 1977-1996, performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, American Ballet Theater (NY), and Atlanta Opera and Ballet Orchestras
